In the original configuration, all the garlock seals on the back of the engine are drained directly overboard by way of a gang drain at the bottom of the cowling.

The Butterfield Industries Oil residue Collection System will install a tank in the same location as the present gang drain in the cowling. The tank can then be drained in a timely manner to eliminate the oil from being discharged on the bottom of the nacelle and all over the landing gear.
